Books outside the notice window you set
You getA booking that respects your window, or a message when the caller wanted sooner.
SafeguardNever squeezes a same-day booking past your window.
The AI receptionist for Australian health practices. It answers your practice phone day and night and books into your Halaxy, Cliniko or Nookal diary.
Free · no card · hear it answer before you sign up
Salutant answers your practice phone around the clock, offers only times that are genuinely free in your Halaxy, Cliniko or Nookal diary, and follows your notice period, transfer hours and new-client settings on every call. When it can't be sure, it takes a message instead of guessing.
Hang up early? We don't charge for it. Some callers change their mind about speaking with an AI receptionist, and some calls are spam, so in good faith: Calls where the receptionist talks for less than 20 seconds are free, unless the call is forwarded or put through and answered: then that answered time counts, if it comes to 20 seconds or more.
Each rule is a setting you control. What the caller hears when a rule applies will be published here word for word from the product itself, never written by hand.
Each rule is a plain setting in your Salutant account.
Day, night and weekends, the same rules on every call.
One email per call, with anything that needs your tap.

Nine promises, built in by design.
Asked for a diagnosis, treatment advice or what’s in someone’s notes, it gives a set reply and offers to take a message.
If a caller says things like “call an ambulance” or “I want to die”, they’re told to ring triple zero and given Lifeline and other crisis lines. An urgent email goes to the practice straight away, with the caller’s clinician copied in, and a text to your mobile too if you turn on Urgent texts.
It can add a new client and a booking, but it can’t edit an existing name, number or address in Cliniko, Halaxy or Nookal. Call notes, if you turn them on, only go to a client whose full name and date of birth match.
It passes the request to you. Nothing changes in your diary until someone at the practice approves it.
Before it says “booked”, it has the caller’s name and number and checks that exact time is still free in your diary. If saving still fails after the call, the booking is marked “Needs confirming” and your email says “Action needed”.
It works from a written record. The only audio kept is a voicemail a caller chooses to leave, which you can delete. Transcripts and voicemails are deleted after 30 days (or 7 days or a year if you choose). Calls you make from Salutant are never recorded.
The greeting on every call says it is an AI receptionist that keeps a written record of the call, and it says so plainly if asked.
Email subject lines never show the caller’s name, and urgent texts carry no name, number or message, just a prompt to check Salutant.
The summary, the outcome in the subject (“Action needed”, “Urgent”) and one button for the next step. A voicemail counts as that email. Or choose one email a day, and urgent calls still come straight away.
Each promise is a fixed step that runs on every call, not something the AI is left to remember.
The demo asks for your practice name, profession and voice (your name, address, opening hours and fees are optional), then you talk to it in your browser for up to 3 minutes. No card.
