For practices on Halaxy

The Halaxy AI receptionist that keeps your rules.

Salutant answers your practice phone day and night, offers only times that are genuinely free in your Halaxy diary, and follows your notice period, transfer hours and new-client settings on every call. When it can’t be sure, it takes a message instead of guessing.

Free · no card · test it with your own setup

Transfer hours are a per-practice setting for solo and single-owner accounts today; group practices sharing one number set transfer on or off and the number.

What it does with Halaxy.

Only real free times from Halaxy

It reads your live Halaxy availability and offers only the appointment types you allow for online booking in Halaxy. No invented times.

Existing and new clients

Callers are checked by name, date of birth and phone; caller ID is a hint, never proof. When you’re taking new clients, a new caller gets a Halaxy patient record with their booking.

Practices with several practitioners

Salutant books for multi-practitioner Halaxy practices. You pay for the clinicians it books for; clinicians it only answers questions about are free.

Review mode first, hands-free when you’re ready

Review mode is on by default, so nothing touches your Halaxy diary without your tap. Switch it off and confirmed bookings land the moment the call ends.

Cancellations and reschedules come to you

It states your cancellation policy to the caller and sends every cancellation and reschedule to you for one-tap action. It never charges, waives or calculates a fee.

Call notes in Halaxy, if you want them

Switch it on and each call’s summary is added to the client’s clinical notes in Halaxy, as a draft for you to check. Only when the client’s full name and date of birth match the record.

How setup works.

  1. Create your Salutant account

Tell it about your practice: name, clinicians, hours and what callers usually ask.

  2. Connect Halaxy

Create an API key in Halaxy (it needs the Halaxy API add-on) and paste in the Client ID and Client Secret. Online bookings must be switched on in Halaxy so your free times can be seen.

  3. Set your rules

Notice period, new clients, transfer hours, cancellation policy and review mode. Each one is a plain setting.

  4. Test it free, then go live

Call your receptionist from your browser with your own setup, no card needed. When you’re ready, pick a plan, get your number and forward your practice line to it.

Your rules, kept on every call.

  • Never says “booked” without checking.

It checks the time is still free in Halaxy first. If saving still fails after the call, the booking is marked “Needs confirming” and your email says “Action needed”.

  • Never books inside your notice window.

A caller who wanted sooner becomes a message for you.

  • Never books a new client onto a closed list.

When you’ve paused new clients, it takes their details as a message.

  • Never changes a client’s details.

It never edits a name, number or address in Halaxy. It reports; a person decides.

  • No clinical advice or triage.

A caller describing an emergency is told to call triple zero (000).

  • Never keeps call audio.

It keeps a written record and does not record the call, except a voicemail a caller chooses to leave.

Read every rule on the Salutant home page.

Priced by the clinicians we book for.

From $49 + GST a month. A seat is a clinician your receptionist books appointments for; clinicians on questions and messages only are free. Hang up early? We don't charge for calls that end within 20 seconds.

Halaxy questions.

Does Salutant book straight into my Halaxy diary?

Yes. It offers only times that are free in your Halaxy diary. With review mode on, which is the default, each booking waits for your tap. Switch review off and confirmed bookings land in Halaxy the moment the call ends.

Will it book inside my notice period?

No. Halaxy applies no booking notice of its own, so the notice window you set in Salutant is the only gate on a Halaxy line, and Salutant never offers a time inside it.

Can it book new clients into Halaxy?

Yes, when your new-client setting is open. It creates the Halaxy patient record with the booking. If you’ve paused new clients, it takes their details as a message instead.

What happens if a booking can’t be written to Halaxy?

Before it says “booked”, it has the caller’s name and number and checks that exact time is still free in your Halaxy diary. If saving to Halaxy still fails after the call, the booking is marked “Needs confirming” and your email says “Action needed”.

Do hang-ups and short calls cost me?

No. Some callers change their mind about speaking with an AI receptionist, and some calls are spam. In good faith, if a call ends within the first 20 seconds, we don’t charge for it: it uses none of your minutes or balance. Every other call counts each started minute.

What do I need from Halaxy?

The Halaxy API add-on, an API key with access to practitioners, availability, appointments and patients (and clinical notes, if you switch call notes on), and online bookings switched on. Check with Halaxy whether your Halaxy plan charges for the add-on.
