How to Add Salutant Chat to Your Practice Website

Summary
Open Practice › Website chat, choose how it looks and whether it takes booking requests, then copy the code onto your website or email it to your web developer. Chats show in Conversations with your calls. See the Website chat topic.
Step 1: Choose how it looks
- Your chat picture: a square photo or logo (PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG, up to 2 MB)
- Name at the top of the chat and First message
- A colour and Which corner it sits in
The Live preview shows what visitors see. Every chat also starts with the AI receptionist line shown in the preview, which can't be changed. On phones, the chat opens full screen.
Step 2: Choose about bookings
Switch Bookings in chat on and it takes booking requests, using the same diaries and rules as your phone line. Off, it answers questions and takes messages only.
Step 3: Add the code to your site
- Pick how your website is built: Any website, WordPress, Squarespace, Wix
- Follow the steps shown for it, and click Copy code
- Type Your website address. The chat only works on that site, so no one can copy it onto theirs

Step 4: Check it's working
Once the code is on your site, open a page there, then check again in Salutant. It shows when the chat has been seen on your website.
